  • Manage corporate communications for the entire organisation;
  • Create and implement integrated and unified communication programs, both internally and externally;
  • Manage and lead the communication department: assuming responsibility for planning, setting policies, budget, end results...;
  • Increase awareness and understanding of the company for a variety of interested stakeholders by building a strong corporate brand and reputation, by strengthening the corporate citizenship and by streamlining the release of communication messages to customers, media, employees, airport community, regulatory bodies, pressure groups and the general public.


  • Master degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communication...
  • Relevant experience of minimum 10 years as a communication manager
  • Excellent verbal, writing and editing skills in French, Dutch and English 
  • Outstanding skills as a people manager (inspiring, motivating, developing, coaching, evaluating...)
  • Advanced understanding of identity and reputation
  • Good understanding of communication research and environmental scanning
  • Deep knowledge of the media landscape at regional and national level 
  • Understands how to use social media in the communication mix
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to deliver multiple projects within tight deadlines 
  • Highly developed interpersonal, coaching and leadership skills towards various stakeholders 
  • Able to deal with unforeseen and/or ambiguous situations such as crises is part of the job. This requires constantly creative, flexible and instant problem solving
  • Quick learner: understanding how the company operates, 'living' its strategy, business requirements and objectives
  • Ability to understand and adapt to developments in the regulatory environments, while exercising care and discretion in discussing these topics
  • Highly persuasive, diplomatic and motivating
  • Influencing and persuasive skills
  • Active affiliation with appropriate corporate communication networks and companies
  • Open for ongoing community involvement
